About NoFrillzApps
Small, single-purpose tools that open instantly, do one job well, and keep your data on your device.
What this site is
NoFrillzApps is an independent collection of 57 free browser tools: JSON and regex utilities, text and image tools, date and money calculators, and network lookups. Each tool is one plain HTML page with no framework, no signup and no paywall. It works on phones and desktops, and most tools keep working offline once loaded.
How your data is handled
Most tools never send your input anywhere
Formatting, encoding, hashing, converting, image resizing and PDF merging all run in JavaScript inside your browser. Nothing you paste or open is uploaded, and nothing is stored on our side.
A few tools need a public data source
Some answers can't be computed locally, so these tools query a public API directly from your browser:
- What Is My IP: ipify and ipwho.is
- DNS Lookup: Cloudflare DNS-over-HTTPS
- SSL Checker: Cert Spotter and crt.sh certificate-transparency logs
- Currency Converter: open.er-api.com exchange rates
Only the value the tool needs (a domain name, for example) is sent, and only to that provider.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets no tracking cookies. The only thing saved in your browser is your light/dark theme choice. Visit counts come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and reports aggregate numbers only. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
How the tools are built
Tools follow the relevant standards (for example RFC 4648 for Base64, RFC 4122/9562 for UUIDs, RFC 7519 for JWTs) and many pages cite their sources. The few third-party libraries (QR codes, barcodes, PDF merging, YAML) are open-source, MIT-licensed, and served from this site rather than a CDN. Every page is served with a Content-Security-Policy that limits which servers it can contact.
Embeds and API
Any tool can be embedded on your own site for free with the embed builder. Developers can call the same functions from the NoFrillzApps API. White-label embeds and higher API limits are listed on the pricing page.
