Password Generator

Strong random passwords, generated locally with your browser's crypto API. Nothing is ever sent to a server.

Generate strong random passwords with one click. Choose the length, mix uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols, and copy a password that is genuinely random — generated locally in your browser with the Web Crypto API, never transmitted anywhere.

How to create a strong password

Choose a length of at least 16 characters and include a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols when the destination supports them. Generate a different password for every account.

This generator uses your browser's cryptographic random-number API. Passwords are created on your device and are not transmitted or stored by the site.

RNG: Web Crypto API (cryptographically secure). Nothing is transmitted or stored.

Example

With all four character sets on, the pool is 26 + 26 + 10 + 24 symbols = 86 characters. A 16-character password therefore has 16 × log2(86) ≈ 103 bits of entropy, rated Strong (80+ bits). Excluding look-alike characters (0 O 1 l I) shrinks the pool to 81, about 101 bits: still Strong.

How to use the Random Password Generator

  1. Set the password length and tick the character sets you want.
  2. Click Generate to create a strong password.
  3. Copy it to your clipboard and paste it into your account form.

Frequently asked questions

Is this password generator safe?

Yes. Passwords are generated locally in your browser using the Web Crypto API — nothing is sent over the network or stored.

How long should a password be?

At least 12 characters for regular accounts; 16 or more for email, banking and admin accounts. Longer is always stronger.

Should I use special characters?

Yes, when the site allows them. A 16-character password with symbols has vastly more combinations than one without.

Can I save the generated password?

The tool does not store anything by design. Use a password manager to save it securely.
